Tektite
Tektites were formed when meteorites hit the Earth still so hot they were molten. The outer crust of the meteorite fused with the ground and created a splash, sending pieces (part meteorite and part Earth) hundreds of miles in all directions. The areas around the impact sites are called “strewn fields”. There are only four known (at this time) “strewn fields” on Earth.
